Description[]
According to the series, the "Magdalene by the Candle Flame" is the fourty-second discovered paintings of the mystical painter George De La Tour and his 5th Marie.
The painting in the series is based on Georges de La Tour's original one, but is not exactly the same due to minor differences in the depicted painting and a slightly different spelling of the name. In the series, it's "Magdalene by the Candle Flame" (蠟燭の炎のマグダラのマリア, Rōsoku no Honō no Magudara no Maria), while the original name of the painting is "Magdalene with the Smoking Flame", which the Japanese write with the characters 灯火の前のマグダラのマリア.
